Consequences of being a cyberbully: 

Can be suspended from school, removed from organisations or sport teams.

Although the bully may be expelled from school or sport activities, civil lawsuits may lead to criminal charges such as harmless acts of harassment. Civil cases can be filed by the victim’s family for torts, intentional infliction of emotional pain, negligence and liability.

Depending on the circumstances of the case and cyber bully it can lead to criminal charges being filed.  Such as hate crimes, impersonation, harassment and multiple violations under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act.

Bullies will lose a substantial amount of friendships/ relationships.
